Calvi Risorta, Amedeo Pitocchi takes the field: "I'm putting my experience and expertise at the service of the city."

From profession to administrative commitment. This is the path that led engineer Amedeo Pitocchi to run for the upcoming municipal elections in Calvi Risorta. He has chosen to run for City Council on the "Calvi Risorge" list, supporting mayoral candidate Giovanni Marrocco, a surgeon and former mayor of Calvi Risorta from 2014 to 2017.

Pitocchi presents this candidacy as the natural culmination of a relationship built over the years with the local area and the community.

"There are choices that come from afar," explains the engineer, "from who we are, from our history, and from our connection to the place where we've decided to build our lives."

The connection with Calvi Risorta

Pitocchi recounts his relationship with Calvi Risorta, the town where he grew up and where he chose to remain, also professionally.

"I've experienced this country in all its diverse realities, getting to know its people, its energies, its difficulties, and its potential. Over the years, I've tried to do my part, including promoting youth movements and initiatives in the area and getting involved whenever I felt there was something worthwhile."

A presence in the area which, according to the professional, represents one of the elements underlying the decision to apply.

From profession to public commitment

A graduate and registered with the Order of Engineers of Caserta – Section A, Civil and Environmental Sector, Pitocchi is also a prevention technician with the qualification of Judicial Police Officer at the Occupational Medicine Department of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro. He has also previously taught computer science.

Throughout her professional career, she has gained experience in workplace safety, HACCP, vocational training, university guidance, and career and school integration, working closely with citizens and businesses.

"Professionally, I also made a clear choice: to stay," Pitocchi emphasizes. "Despite the opportunities that have presented themselves outside our region over the years, I have worked tirelessly to build a solid professional presence here."

«A technical contribution to the team»

The candidacy therefore arises from the desire to transfer the skills acquired over the years into administrative activities.

Pitocchi explains that he agreed to join the "Calvi Risorge" political-administrative project after meeting a team in which, he says, he found people with whom he could share not only an administrative but also a human journey.

Marrocco identified in my professional experience the opportunity to offer a technical contribution to the team and the future project. I embraced this responsibility with the same attitude I've always applied to my work and the challenges of my life.

«It's not a point of arrival»

In submitting his application, the engineer already considers the prospect of a possible administrative role, emphasizing the need to make his experience and skills available to the community.

"I don't see this journey as a point of arrival, but rather the beginning of a new responsibility towards the country where I grew up, where I chose to stay, and where I continue to imagine my future."

Hence the stated commitment to bring to the new path "experience, local presence, the ability to listen, concreteness, and a willingness to work together with others."

The conclusion is entrusted to a sentence that sums up the spirit with which Pitocchi approaches his candidacy: "Because for me, taking on a responsibility means above all being there, working, and responding to the commitments made with facts. Mine is, and will continue to be, a pact of commitment for the future."
