Maddaloni, massive fire in furniture warehouse

Late yesterday evening, a thick column of smoke and flames rose from a furniture chain warehouse on Via Napoli in Maddaloni. The fire was reported by local residents.

The flames engulfed much of the stored material. Two firefighting teams from the Caserta Provincial Command—one from the headquarters and one from the Marcianise detachment—responded to prevent the fire from reaching the upper floors, where other commercial establishments are located.

To ensure the water supply, three tankers arrived as support: one from Aversa, one from the headquarters in Caserta and one from the Naples Command.
