On the night of September 2nd in Marano di Napoli, a serious criminal act was committed against a disabled person: his car, legally parked in the space reserved for him, was set on fire.

The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, expressed his solidarity with the victim and her family, calling the action "cowardly and deplorable." Law enforcement, already engaged in prevention efforts in the area, will intensify checks to ensure the safety of residents and clarify the incident.

The Prefect also recalled that respecting the rights of persons with disabilities is a legal obligation and a fundamental principle for all institutions. To address the incident, a meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety will be convened to analyze the incident and develop strategies to combat and monitor the area.
