A short film shot in front of the Diego Armando Maradona mural in the Spanish Quarter previews the themes of the show Numero 10. The project, produced by Coloriamo i Sogni with the patronage of the Municipality of Naples, will debut at the Teatro Palapartenope on October 3, 2026, with a second date added on October 4.

In the video, Marino Bartoletti and Diego Armando Maradona Jr. discuss Naples and Diego's role beyond football. Bartoletti observes: "I imagine you never had the chance to stroll around Naples with your dad, it was just impossible ," and the actor responds: "Walking around Naples is like walking around the world. Maybe he's been to Dubai a few times. He was and will always be the king here . "

For Maradona Jr., Naples is the place where his love for his father was most strongly expressed, but also where he was forgiven: "He left Naples. I don't care what he did with his life, I care what he did to our lives . "

Numero 10 aims to tell the story of Maradona beyond his sporting career, exploring his humanity and his impact on the lives of millions. Bartoletti asks if there's something Neapolitans don't yet know: "From a human perspective, I think it's worth highlighting and reiterating what you've always said: the kindness, the heart, and the love he had for the people he loved and for this wonderful city . "

Maradona Jr. evokes a private yet collective memory: "I come at night. I come at night because it's just me and him ," a phrase that sums up the tension between personal and civic memory. Nearly six years after his passing, the legacy Diego left lives on among Neapolitans: "He was the person who made my people happy, and that's something hard to forget . "

The show is directed by Carolina Fanelli, with Erasmo Genzini, Maurizio Casagrande, and Giorgio Borghetti, and features a special guest appearance by Lina Sastri. The ensemble includes dancers, acrobats, and singers, with music by Phil Mer. The script was written in collaboration with Marino Bartoletti, and the production is Coloriamo i Sogni.

Numero 10 begins with Maradona's passing and recounts his life, from working-class Buenos Aires to Naples' golden years, alternating prose, music, dance, and screenings. The Neapolitan premiere is scheduled for October 3rd, with a repeat performance on October 4th, a testament to the city's eager anticipation.
