Consorzio Stabile Medil closed 2025 with continued growth and a significant strengthening of its economic, financial, and equity position. Revenues for the year amounted to €164,4 million, up 1% from €162,8 million in 2024. Production value rose to €170,4 million (+6,4%), supported by construction progress and the acquisition of new orders.
Profitability is growing above all: EBITDA stands at 10,35 million euros (+15%), EBIT at 10,03 million (+13%) and net profit at 6,33 million, up 28,8% from 4,92 million the previous year.
The capital and financial structure also strengthened. Net equity increased to €19,95 million (+38,5%), while the Net Financial Position went from -€1,24 million to -€8,13 million, confirming a positive net cash position. Liquid assets more than doubled, reaching €22,1 million (+101%), and total assets reached €195,8 million (+23,9%).
These results are complemented by a portfolio of work worth nearly €2,8 billion, distributed across infrastructure, railway, hydraulic, and construction projects throughout Italy and, increasingly, abroad. Adding the Consortium's activities to those of its affiliates and consortiums formed for the main projects, the Group's total production value exceeds €223 million.
Major construction projects include the extension of Catania's Circumetnea railway network to the airport, costing approximately €498,8 million; two sections of the SS 106 "Jonica" road between Catanzaro and Crotone, costing over €548 million; the SS 89 "Garganica" road for the San Giovanni Rotondo road network, costing approximately €256,9 million; and, in Malta, construction of the new San Giovanni Paolo II hospital, costing approximately €120 million across the two sections awarded.
"The 2025 results show us a Group that has reached significant industrial scale, but above all, they demonstrate the responsibility that this growth entails," says Flavian Basile, President of the Consorzio Stabile Medil.
Today, Medil boasts a backlog of nearly €2,8 billion, over €22 million in liquidity, and a positive net cash position of over €8 million. These figures give us the solidity we need to continue investing, hiring, and supporting the growth of our businesses. We are a Group born in Southern Italy, and we want to demonstrate that businesses capable of reaching national scale and competing on international markets can emerge from the South.
Medil is involved in some of Italy's major infrastructure projects, from roads and railways to hydraulic and sanitation works, with projects in several regions and an international presence established in Malta.
"Our vision goes beyond that of a traditional construction company," adds Basile. "We are building an integrated infrastructure company, capable of combining construction, engineering, technology, specialized skills, and financial capacity. A model in which Medil's growth must also generate growth for its consortium companies, partners, suppliers, and the entire supply chain. We have built a solid foundation: now we want to strengthen our position in Italy, grow in international markets, and continue investing in people and innovation."
2025 thus concludes the year in which the Consortium consolidates its position as a structured operator, with solid financial statements, a broad and diversified portfolio, and a presence on some of the most significant public construction sites in the country.
