Campi Flegrei, €750 from the Region for rent to families displaced by bradyseism.

The Campania Region has allocated €750 in funding to facilitate access to private rental housing at a negotiated rate, aimed at families displaced by the bradyseismic emergency that struck the Phlegraean Fields on July 31st.

This initiative is part of an extraordinary fund established to address the housing emergency resulting from the earthquakes. The contribution is aimed at property owners in Campania who, after the earthquakes, enter into rental agreements of at least three years' duration with families who have been forced to abandon a property declared uninhabitable or evicted. Temporary contracts are excluded.

The financial support provides a one-time advance payment consisting of a fixed sum of €2.500 plus a variable portion equal to 25% of the annual IMU tax for each year of the contract's duration.

The resources will be managed by the Municipalities of Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Monte di Procida, and Naples, which will oversee the application process. In collaboration with Acer, a regional portal will also be launched to promote available housing.

Regional President Roberto Fico emphasized that the initiative aims to offer more stable housing solutions and reduce reliance on temporary accommodations, leveraging private housing to expand accommodation options. The Region thus confirms its commitment to supporting the affected communities in the Campi Flegrei area.
