Campania achieves PNRR goals for hospitals and community centers with new social investments.

Campania has achieved the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) targets for the activation of community hospitals and community homes by August 2026, essential for strengthening the local healthcare network.

The total number of active community hospitals has risen to 31, with the addition of four new facilities, while community homes have increased by twelve, reaching 154. These facilities represent a key step in patient care and continuity of care outside the hospital, thanks to modernized facilities equipped with advanced and interconnected technologies.

At the same time, the Regional Council has allocated €5 million of its own resources to support three major social and healthcare initiatives. €2 million is earmarked to strengthen addiction services managed by the Local Health Authority Napoli 1 Centro in collaboration with the Third Sector.

One million will fund care activities for minors with autism spectrum disorders in transitional age, through the Caserta Local Health Authority. Finally, another two million will be used for an experimental project in inland areas aimed at combating loneliness and premature aging among the elderly, promoting social and cultural initiatives implemented by the local social services.

Furthermore, funding has been increased for the "Community Social Paths" program, managed by the Campania Welfare Foundation, which now has a total budget of over €1,19 million. The program targets minors, adolescents, families, people with disabilities, and migrants, offering educational support, psychological counseling, inclusive workshops, theater, and sports. These initiatives further contribute to social cohesion and the well-being of local communities.
