Naples, birds trapped in the wall: 'Free them before they die'

Naples – Birds were trapped in the cracks in a wall overlooking the street on Via Pacuvio in Naples. The victims were some birds, who were trapped inside the openings after they were covered with netting. However, whoever installed the nets apparently didn't notice their presence.

The alarm was raised in a joint statement by Avs MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Europa Verde councilor for Municipality 1 Lorenzo Pascucci. "This is a very serious act," they stated, "for which it is essential to identify those responsible and urgently find a solution to free these birds. If we don't intervene quickly, we risk causing their death."

According to the two representatives, the work that led to the installation of the nets and the closing of the vents was carried out by private individuals, not by the public administration. "Whoever committed such an act will be held accountable in the appropriate courts," they emphasize.

Municipality 1, through its president and its offices, is working with Pascucci to find an urgent solution and free the animals. The goal is to intervene before the situation worsens and the birds lose their lives.
