NOS intervention in Salerno: two restaurants closed due to illegal work and serious hygiene and sanitation deficiencies.

Yesterday evening, the Security Operations Unit (NOS) conducted integrated checks with the Local Health Authority (ASL) and the Labor Inspectorate, in collaboration with the Municipal Police, which led to the closure of two city establishments due to structural and contractual irregularities.

The first establishment, one of the city's historic establishments located in the eastern part of the city, had serious health and hygiene deficiencies in the food preparation areas. During the investigation, two workers were found to be employed illegally.

In the ethnic restaurant, however, the inspectors found the employment of eight irregular workers.

Both businesses were ordered to immediately suspend operations and close their premises, with food and beverage service suspended and all reservations for the evening cancelled.

Further checks will be carried out

The Municipal Police emphasizes that the checks are part of the NOS's activities aimed at ensuring urban safety, combating undeclared work, and safeguarding public health and food safety.

The inspectors announced that further checks will be carried out to ascertain any further irregularities and to ensure adequate hygiene conditions and contractual compliance in the future.
