Phlegraean Fields, Fico: "A specific measure has been agreed with the government."

A measure entirely dedicated to the Phlegraean Fields, with comprehensive measures to address the area's needs and structural interventions to support residents and businesses. This is the goal of the working group launched between the Campania Region and the Government, announced by Regional President Roberto Fico.

"We have agreed with the government to work on a specific measure, entirely dedicated to the Phlegraean Fields, comprehensive and structured, capable of comprehensively addressing the region's needs," Fico states. The process, the governor explains, has already begun. "A working group has been established with the shared goal of rapidly reaching a decree containing all the necessary measures."

The agreement comes after tensions over the rejection of the amendments to the PA decree addressing the Phlegraean Fields. Fico, however, insists he has chosen to maintain open institutional dialogue: "From the very beginning, we have chosen the path of loyal institutional collaboration and will continue to pursue it, convinced that serious and effective solutions can only arise from a shared commitment with the Government and coordination between all institutional levels."

The new measure should incorporate the concerns gathered in recent weeks through discussions with the local community. "We have gathered citizens' concerns and identified concrete measures to address them," Fico emphasized.

The decree will therefore combine what has already been developed with additional structural interventions, thus providing a comprehensive response to the area's situation. "What has been built so far will be incorporated into the new decree, along with the additional structural interventions needed to provide a comprehensive response to the unique and delicate situation facing the Phlegraean Fields."

The Region's priority is to accelerate the process and translate the agreement into concrete measures. "The priority remains clear: to quickly provide concrete solutions to citizens and support local economic and commercial activities," the Regional President concluded.
