Voices from Above: Piano concerts and poetry readings at the Certosa di San Martino

The Vomero National Museums present Le voci di Sopra, suoni e visioni , a summer festival that combines music and poetry at the Certosa di San Martino in Naples.

Piano concerts (Monumental Courtyard)

The musical events will take place on September 17, 20 and 25 at 20:30 pm (limited places, max 200 people for each concert), with the artistic direction of the Notturni series , curated by the Napoli Opera House association and Luca De Lorenzo.

• September 17th – Giuseppe Andaloro: the program ranges from Johann Sebastian Bach to Nikolai Kapustin, with personal arrangements that include authors and groups such as Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Friedrich Gulda, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Olivier Messiaen, Maurice Ravel and King Crimson.
• September 20th – Sara Amoresano: The concert opens with Beethoven's Op. 31 Sonatas; the program continues with music by Elfrida Andréé and Chopin. Amoresano graduated from the "San Pietro a Majella" Conservatory and is also active in musicology.
• September 25th – Gile Bae: Romantic program with music from Johann Sebastian Bach (Busoni version) to Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms.

Contemporary Poetry Meetings (Magnolia Terrace)

From September 18th to 20th, Phoné , a series of three meetings curated by Bernardo De Luca and Carmen Gallo, in collaboration with Ladoc, will take place. The events, dedicated to Amelia Rosselli, Mario Benedetti, and Andrea Zanzotto, include readings by Cecilia Lupoli, Mariachiara Falcone, and Imma Villa.

• September 18th, 19pm – Amelia Rosselli: contributions by Chiara Portesine, Bernardo De Luca, and Carmen Gallo.
• September 19th, 19pm – Mario Benedetti: dialogue with Thomas of God and Bernardo De Luca.
• September 20th, 18pm – Andrea Zanzotto: conversation with Andrea Cortellessa, Bernardo De Luca, and Carmen Gallo.

Tickets for the poetry readings cost €10 and can be purchased at www.museiitaliani.it. Reservations are required (maximum 100 places per session). Entry is permitted half an hour before the start of the event.
