The goods seized from Angelo Napolitano were sold at auction for €286.

Naples – The three online auctions promoted by the Naples Judicial Sales Institute to liquidate the massive warehouse attributable to Napolitano Store have concluded. The three seized large lots were sold for a total price, including fees, of nearly €285.

A block sale that puts a stop to the seizure of assets, even though it unfolds alongside a full-blown legal mystery.

The tax fraud hypothesis and the judicial storm

The assets belonged to Am Distribution Srl, the company at the center of the investigation coordinated by the Nola Prosecutor's Office, involving the well-known entrepreneur and TikTok user Angelo Napolitano. The businessman has always maintained his complete innocence and denied all charges.

The accusation put forward by the Naples Financial Police, however, paints a complex picture: a scheme in which retail sales paid in cash were covered by false invoices addressed to "shell companies," simulating VAT-exempt wholesale sales.

The affair hit the media spotlight following reports by Striscia la Notizia, resulting first in the precautionary seizure of €5,7 million in September 2025 and then in the extension of the measure to the entire company in January 2026.

The robbery in the judicial warehouse: the theft-for-hire trail

However, a disturbing news story casts a shadow over the liquidation proceedings. Just days before the auctions closed, a gang of unknown assailants broke into the judicial warehouse in the ASI area of Giugliano in Campania.

The thieves hit a deadly target: evading security checks, they headed straight for the warehouse where merchandise related to Napolitano Store is stored. Several latest-generation Apple smartphones intended for resale disappeared from the warehouse. The Carabinieri, coordinated by the Naples North Prosecutor's Office, are currently investigating this raid.

Investigators are analyzing surveillance footage and have not ruled out the possibility of a commissioned theft or a planned operation by someone with detailed knowledge of the location of the most valuable lots. It should be noted that no charges or investigations have been filed against Angelo Napolitano in connection with the theft.

Online auctions: details of the awards

Despite the criminal episode that law enforcement is shedding light on, the electronic auction process continued until the final assignment:

  • Lot 4Kept in the Casalnuovo di Napoli warehouse, it saw the only real challenge between two bidders, closing at 79.345 euros.
  • Lot 5: Comprising over 6.100 items, it was awarded to a single bidder at the starting auction price of 72.149,76 euros.
  • Lot 6Approximately 3.500 items were cleared from the historic Corso Garibaldi store and sold for a single bid of €56.121,54.

A multimedia catalog ended up under the judge's hammer

The items up for auction included virtually the entire business catalog. A vast inventory, from consumer electronics to the so-called "white line": various generations of iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, and Nintendo Switch gaming consoles.

These were joined by Smart TVs up to 85 inches, wearables, Android smartphones from major brands, and thousands of loose accessories. Finally, a significant quantity of large and small appliances: from refrigerators to air conditioners, to coffee machines and thousands of pods.
