Investigations into Lavitola's assets: his ex-partner attacks Ranucci, ready to speak with prosecutors.

Rome – Valter Lavitola's partner, Natalia Potenza, will be questioned by investigators regarding the investigation into the attack on Sigfrido Ranucci. Furthermore, the prosecutor's office has ordered an investigation into the fixer's assets, relating to the Cefalù Bistrot, the restaurant opened about ten years ago in Monteverde and linked to Lavitola, who is accused of instigating the attack on Sigfrido Ranucci.

Investigators are targeting the partner of the former editor of L'Avanti, the mother of his two children, who holds the shares in the restaurant and fishmonger's. Investigators are investigating whether there was a fictitious ownership of assets or an incident of money laundering.

Natalia Potenza's attack on Sigfrido Ranucci and the secret chat with the journalist's friend

Lavitola's relationship is closely linked to the investigation into the attack. Natalia Potenza's lawyer, Giuseppe Cavallaro, has announced that his client is ready to make exclusive statements to investigators. The announcement comes after Potenza filed a complaint on August 26 against her partner, whom she denied accepting house arrest at the home they shared and a possible probation at the Monteverde restaurant.

The strained relationship between Potenza and Lavitola, strained after the discovery in the pretrial order that her partner was having an affair with a Brazilian beautician, spilled over into the investigation into the attack and its counterpart, journalist Sigfrido Ranucci. Natalia Potenza revealed that she had received "secret" messages from Ranucci's friend, Laura Cianfoni, immediately after the search of Lavitola. Specifically, pages of the warrant that had led to the arrest of the perpetrators.

The disclosure of investigative documents was denied by Ranucci on Facebook. "There is no secret chat between my collaborator and Natalia, Lavitola's partner. A public notice was sent, at my request, and on her own initiative, a simple courtesy message to check on her. Period, nothing more."

The journalist and Lavitola's ex have a heated exchange on social media, announcing a slander lawsuit: "Sigfrido is a liar, he underestimates me."

Natalia Potenza, through her lawyer, then doubled down on the journalist: "Sigfrido Ranucci is a liar. But I'm not, and this bastard underestimates me." Immediately afterward, the announcement was made that the former Report host and Lavitola's lawyers, Arturo and Sergio Cola, were filing a slander lawsuit against him: "Dr. Lavitola points out the absolute falsity of the circumstance, having learned of the content of the said order only through discovery of the relevant criminal proceedings," the two stated, contradicting Potenza.

At that point, Lavitola's ex-partner released screenshots of the chat with Laura Cianfoni.

Now, the fixer's ex-partner says she's ready to speak to the magistrates investigating the attack. Given the circumstances, Natalia Potenza may have details regarding Ranucci and Lavitola's relationship that could be relevant to the investigation.

Details that the Roman magistrates do not intend to ignore in reconstructing what happened before and after the attack of October 16th.
