Naples: 19-year-old arrested for robbery on Corso Umberto; stolen goods returned to owner.

This evening, the State Police arrested a 19-year-old with a criminal record, accused of aggravated robbery and assault. The operation stemmed from a report received by the Operations Room regarding a robbery involving a man who had been robbed of a gold necklace.

Officers from the Flying Squad and the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue conducted a rapid investigation and shortly thereafter located the suspect on Via Lavinaio. The young man was found in possession of the stolen goods and was arrested by the officers. The stolen necklace was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
