A 26-year-old man from Aversa has been reported for driving a van loaded with hazardous waste.

San Marcellino – The check took place late yesterday evening, September 24th, in San Marcellino. Officers from the Frignano Carabinieri Station, supported by the Operational Intervention Company of the 10th Campania Carabinieri Regiment from Naples, stopped a Piaggio Porter driven by a 26-year-old resident of Aversa.

What was in the van?

Inside the vehicle, the Carabinieri found materials classified as hazardous waste: batteries, electrical cables, appliance parts, and body components intended for cars. According to the investigations, the cargo was being transported without the required permits.

Reporting, seizure and withdrawal of the driving licence

The young man was charged at large with illegal transportation of hazardous waste. The Piaggio Porter was seized. The driver's driving license was also suspended. This operation is part of the local enforcement efforts to combat illegal waste management and movement. The competent judicial and administrative authorities have been informed. The person charged is presumed innocent pending a final sentence.
