A raid in the dead of night by Carabinieri from the Castello di Cisterna Investigative Unit brought down the Angelino clan's new criminal structure, executing 34 precautionary measures issued by the GIP of the Naples Court at the request of the Naples Anti-Mafia Directorate.

Among those arrested are several women, evidence of a cohesive and pervasive structure. The charges are serious: mafia association, drug trafficking, and extortion.

A secluded, seemingly safer area north of Naples transformed into a veritable drug supermarket. The neighborhood's warehouses were filled with rivers of narcotics, guaranteed by close and solid supply channels with the most powerful Calabrian 'Ndrangheta families.

Orders from prison: the direction of the untamed boss

Neither the ongoing kidnappings nor the arrest of alleged boss Antonio Angelino, known as Tibiuccio, who is serving an eight-year prison sentence, had dented the clan's operational capacity. According to investigators' reconstruction, the clan leader continued to manage the trafficking network directly from behind bars, issuing precise instructions to his associates to maintain control of the territory and collect extortion.

An illusion of impunity that lasted until the first light of dawn, when the Carabinieri patrol cars sealed off the entrances to the “Bronx”, putting an end to the gang's second life.
