Arzano, man assaults his partner and then attacks the police: arrested

A night of violence in an apartment in Arzano. Carabinieri from the Casoria mobile radio unit and officers from the Arpino di Casoria station arrested a 47-year-old man for domestic violence and resisting a public officer. The man was transferred to prison.

The intervention

The alarm was called to 112 due to an argument. At the scene, officers found the 47-year-old man, apparently drunk. He first pushed the police officers, then threw objects from the house. Subduing him wasn't easy: they had to use the pepper spray provided.

The companion's story

Once calm was restored, the officers interviewed the 50-year-old woman. The woman, with her 8-year-old son present, recounted countless incidents of abuse, culminating during the night. These statements, along with her resistance during the intervention, led to her arrest.

The 47-year-old remains under investigation and, until a final sentence is reached, is presumed innocent.
