Castel Volturno: A 26-year-old fugitive found with stolen treasure in his home was arrested by the Carabinieri.

The raid began yesterday morning, October 2, 2026, when the Carabinieri of the Macerata Campania Station, supported by colleagues from the Operations Section of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Company, surrounded and broke into the home where the 26-year-old was hiding.

Once inside, the military not only served notice of the judicial authorities' restrictive order, but also proceeded to conduct a thorough search of the premises, uncovering a veritable logistical base for illicit activities.

Inside the apartment the Carabinieri found and seized: capproximately 1.700 euros in cash; nnumerous burglary tools ready for use; ortto 12 gauge shotgun ammunition, illegally held; uA real “treasure” made up of numerous gold and silver jewels, costume jewellery and 18 watches from various brands.

The merchandise and jewelry, believed to be of illicit origin, have a total estimated value of approximately €10.000. Investigators immediately began working to locate the victims of the thefts: some of the stolen goods have already been identified and successfully returned to their rightful owners.

In addition to serving his previous sentence, the 26-year-old's situation has worsened significantly. In light of what was found in the house, the police have reported him to the police for receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of ammunition.

After completing the usual formalities at the police station, the arrested man was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities for further investigations.
