Naples Metro Line 1: Duomo Station is now fully operational.

Naples – The second entrance to the Duomo station on Line 1 of the Naples Metro, on the Via Duomo side, became operational this morning. With the opening, the access configuration is complete, and the station is now fully operational with passenger services.

"With the opening of the second exit, the final configuration of the Duomo station's access points has been completed, which until now have been limited due to ongoing archaeological work," Mayor Gaetano Manfredi stated. He also announced that Tribunali station should open "before Christmas."

Edoardo Cosenza, the city councilor for Infrastructure, Mobility, and Civil Protection, agrees, saying that the access works have been completed. Archaeological work on the reconstruction of the temple associated with the Olympic Games continues.

From a technical standpoint, Cosenza specified, the station is complete; the museum section will need to be completed by 2028. Manfredi finally noted that the Municipality has allocated resources and strengthened ANM's operations for extraordinary maintenance work at the stations, a program that will be able to proceed with greater flexibility after the company emerges from receivership.
