In the photo, a detail of the story.
Francesco Paolantoni brings his autobiography to bookstores. Friday, October 9th, at 18 pm, at the Feltrinelli bookstore in Piazza dei Martiri, he presents Malgrado me. Autobiografia senza nulla a pretere (Malgrado me: An Autobiography with Nothing to Claim), published by Sperling & Kupfer. Admission is free, subject to availability.
The meeting focuses on the voice, wit, and memories of one of Italy's most beloved entertainers. The book retraces a long career through anecdotes, encounters, and experiences, with the irreverent style that has always distinguished him.
"This book is for me a way to celebrate fifty years of life and seventy years of career. Wait... oh, yes, it's the opposite!" writes Paolantoni, playing from the very first pages with the passing of time and the paradox of a life on stage. The profession, he adds, "keeps you young, very young, a twelve-year-old boy."
Born and raised in Naples, Paolantoni has worked in theater, television, and film, including comedy, auteur theater, and improvisation. His autobiography reveals his most personal side: a reflection that, in the author's style, also offers a smile.
The appointment. Francesco Paolantoni presents Malgrado Me. Autobiography with Nothing to Claim. Friday, October 9, 2026, 6:00 PM, Feltrinelli Books and Music, Piazza dei Martiri, Naples.
