Pasquale Amato died on his motorcycle on the outer ring road. His father said: "It wasn't an accident. Anyone who saw it should speak up."

Naples - "If anyone saw anything, please speak up, because this isn't an accident." This is the cry of pain and, at the same time, the appeal launched on social media by the father of Pasquale Amato, the 32-year-old motorcyclist who died last night on the outer ring road between Arzano and Casoria.

These words add a touch of serious concern to a tragedy that the Carabinieri are still investigating. The young man's father believes his son's death may have been the result of an attempt to steal his motorcycle. This hypothesis will need to be verified by investigators and, at this time, has not yet been officially confirmed.

The crash and death of the motorcyclist

The initial reconstruction carried out by the Carabinieri places the accident shortly before midnight. Pasquale Amato was riding his BMW 300 along the outer ring road when, for reasons still unclear, he violently collided with an Audi Q2.

According to preliminary investigations, the two vehicles were traveling in the same direction. One possibility under consideration is that the Audi may have rear-ended the motorcycle, causing the 32-year-old to lose control.

The BMW then apparently crashed into the guardrail. The force of the impact threw the motorcyclist from his seat, causing him to crash into the concrete base of the central barrier.

Despite wearing a helmet, there was nothing that could be done for Pasquale. The 32-year-old died instantly. The driver of the Audi stopped and attempted to provide first aid, while 118 paramedics arrived on the scene. Resuscitation attempts, which continued for several minutes, proved futile.

Cameras under scrutiny

Investigative and technical-scientific investigations will now be the first to reconstruct exactly what happened.

The Carabinieri of the Casoria Company's mobile radio unit carried out the initial surveys and acquired images from both public and private video surveillance systems in the area.

Investigators are searching for any video footage that may have captured the moments before the crash. Such footage could prove crucial in determining whether it was a car accident, a rear-end collision, or whether, as the victim's father claims, there are other factors to consider.

Particular attention will also be paid to the position of the two vehicles and the condition of the motorcycle. The vehicles have been seized and will be subjected to the necessary checks to determine any signs consistent with the suspected incident.

Body seized, autopsy pending

By order of the North Naples Prosecutor's Office, Pasquale Amato's body was transferred to the morgue of the San Giuliano Hospital in Giugliano, where it will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending an autopsy.

The autopsy may provide further information on the causes of death and the injuries sustained by the motorcyclist.

Meanwhile, investigations into the dynamics of the accident continue. The case will need to clarify every aspect of what, for now, remains a road traffic death with several unanswered questions.

The Pain of the "Night Riders"

The news of Pasquale's death quickly spread on social media, sparking deep grief among his friends and fellow motorcyclists.

The Night Riders group, of which he was a member, remembered him with words full of sorrow: "Today our group loses a brother. There are no words. Only silence and respect for a helmet that will never return to the meeting point."

And again: "Today we mourn a motorcyclist, tomorrow we will take you with us on every road."

A final message sums up the bond with the young man: "Fallen on the path he loved, but never lost forever in our circles. Forever with us. Goodbye Pasquale."

Those who knew him describe him as a cheerful and friendly young man, but above all as a serious and cautious motorcyclist. Now the investigation will determine what really happened that night on the outer ring road.
