San Cipriano d'Aversa, a theft at a preschool: Carabinieri return stolen materials.

San Cipriano d'Aversa – The Carabinieri responded swiftly to the theft of computer equipment at the Casapesenna/San Cipriano d'Aversa Comprehensive School. Within 48 hours of the report, officers from the local station were able to track down part of the stolen goods and arrested two people on charges of receiving stolen goods.

The robbery took place between September 29th and October 3rd inside the "Mattia De Mare" school complex. The criminals entered the building after forcing a window, managing to steal a large quantity of essential teaching technology: ten laptops, two desktop computers complete with monitors and keyboards, a printer, and a speaker.

The alarm was raised on the morning of October 4th by the school principal, who went to the police station to file a complaint. Despite the lack of video surveillance within the building, the Carabinieri immediately began the usual investigations and an intensive information-investigative effort.

The first evidence came as early as October 5th: during a home search of a 42-year-old local man, the Carabinieri found some of the school's stolen teaching materials. The man was charged with receiving stolen goods, and the equipment was seized.

The investigation then extended to the local commercial sector. Yesterday afternoon, October 6th, investigators located two more stolen PCs inside a local business. The equipment was also seized, while the business owner, a 35-year-old businessman, was charged with the same crime.

The operation allowed the initial steps in the equipment recycling chain to be reconstructed. The San Cipriano d'Aversa Police Station's investigations are now continuing at a rapid pace to identify the perpetrators of the theft and recover the missing equipment, which will be returned to the school following formal investigations.

It should be noted that the proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase and that the responsibility of the individuals listed in the register of suspects must be determined by a judicial body with a final judgment.
