The ANM responds to Annalisa Imparato's statements about pressure and transfer, describing the atmosphere in the Santa Maria Capua Vetere office as calm and recalling that the decision to move had already been implemented in 2022.

The judiciary is on the front lines: the ANM disputes the reasons for prosecutor Imparato's transfer and calls for a calm atmosphere in the Santa Maria Capua Vetere office.
Naples – The National Association of Magistrates has intervened to address the recent incident involving Public Prosecutor Annalisa Imparato, stating that her claims of pressure and personal attacks are not supported by the Santa Maria Capua Vetere office.
The Santa Maria Capua Vetere sub-section of the ANM, which held a meeting yesterday under the presidency of Public Prosecutor Anna Ida Capone, emphasized that the atmosphere within the office is calm and collaborative, and that the statements attributed to the defendant do not correspond to the known facts.
According to the statement, the decision to transfer to another judicial office dates back to 2022, when Imparato applied for judicial positions in other courts in Lazio. This fact is now being recalled to contextualize the statements made by the interested party.
In other recent interviews (Repubblica on September 25 and Corriere della Sera on September 26), Imparato reported alleged personal attacks, attributing them to the media context created by the commitment to vote yes in the referendum on justice reform.
In her opinion, such attacks would have made the transfer necessary to "also protect her collaborators who worked with her." She also added that she could have filed dozens of complaints, but she did not, believing that staying would have been "too high a human price to pay."
The ANM's response clarifies that, although the interested party's statements were made public, they do not describe a situation of pressure or bullying that could unequivocally justify a transfer decision. The ANM believes the decision to move was based on professional evaluations developed over time, not on working conditions within the office.
Furthermore, it is underlined that the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere operates on a daily basis with a logic of synergy between its interpreters and collaborators, and that any signs of dysfunction are not identifiable in the context presented by today's statements.
The public challenge to some of the defendant's statements fueled a lively debate both within the National Association of Magistrates and among the magistrates of the Campania office, once again highlighting the perceived critical issues surrounding working conditions, career management, and the need to establish anti-bullying policies within judicial offices. However, the meeting reaffirmed the truth of the office's daily operations: judicial proceedings continue according to established procedures and without deviations due to external pressure.
In conclusion, the case remains at the center of a debate between different interpretations of the working reality of the judiciary: on the one hand, the defendant's testimony, on the other, the collective interpretation of the ANM and the Santa Maria Capua Vetere sub-section. The office, for its part, remains committed to maintaining operational functionality and promoting a working environment that favors investigation and the protection of its employees.
