Yesterday afternoon, the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened at the Ospedale del Mare for the report of two people hit.
The police found that the two, employees of a supermarket on Via Giuseppe Buonocore, had shortly before seen a man who, after having removed a bottle of champagne from the shelves, had walked past the cash registers without paying.
Therefore they had tried to stop him but the man had got into his car and had run them over to gain his escape.
Thanks to the descriptions provided by the victims and the review of video surveillance footage, the operators located him at his home in Casalnuovo di Napoli, identifying him as a 61-year-old with a criminal record, and charged him with improper robbery and assault.
