Presepiarte 2019. In Cerreto Sannita the exhibition of ceramic nativity scenes

The 2019 edition of Presepiarte, Cerreto Sannita's unique ceramic nativity scene exhibition and competition, will officially open on Saturday, December 7th. Concurrent with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, at 5:30 pm, the Ceramics Museum's multipurpose hall will host the conference "Training and Tradition," which will be introduced by Lucio Rubano, vice president of the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities. Welcome remarks will be given by Giovanni Parente, Mayor of Cerreto, and Giuseppe Zoschg, Curator of the Cerreto Ceramics Museum. Speakers will include Anna Maria Puca, principal of the "Mazzarella" High School in Cerreto Sannita; Giovanna Caraccio, principal of the "Carafa Giustiniani" High School in Cerreto Sannita; and Calogero Antoci, principal of the "Esposito" Regional Art High School in Santa Stefano di Camastra. The closing remarks were entrusted to Monica Matano, director of the Provincial School Office of Benevento. Moderator was Ferdinando Creta, director of the archaeological site of the Roman Theater of Benevento and the Archaeological Museum of Sannio Caudino. As you may recall, Presepiarte is part of the fourth edition of the "Decori & Sapori d'Autunno" initiative, funded by the Campania Region as part of its POC projects. The event will run from December 7th to January 6th, 2020, the day of the awards ceremony and subsequent auction of the nativity scenes (the proceeds will be donated to charity, as in previous years). The exhibition-competition will be open daily with free admission at the Cloister of the Municipality of Cerreto Sannita from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Also from December 7th to January 6th 2020, the “Historical Popular Sannita Nativity Scene” will be on display at the Church of San Gennaro in Cerreto. It will be open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays (from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm), Wednesdays and Fridays (from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm), and Tuesdays and Thursdays (from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm) with free admission.
