Following the earthquake in Campi Flegrei, the mayor of Pozzuoli demands immediate responses from the government.

Following the approval of the new decree on the Campi Flegrei, Pozzuoli Mayor Luigi Manzoni expressed doubts about the response time and called for urgent measures to ensure the safety of the area most affected by the recent tremors.

Pozzuoli – The mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, has expressed the need for rapid and concrete measures to secure the area.

At the end of the meeting with Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and after the Council of Ministers approved the new decree for the area, Manzoni expressed some dissatisfaction with the proposed measures, particularly emphasizing the implementation timeframe.

"I can't say I'm satisfied, but I will continue to fight to ensure the safety of the Phlegraean Fields," the mayor stated. Manzoni emphasized that many of the requests from the affected municipalities could be granted, and that some responses must be received immediately.

He then issued a clear warning: "If a rapid response isn't forthcoming, we will adopt a different stance." The mayor appealed to residents, urging them to maintain resilience and support ongoing efforts to coexist safely with seismic risk. Finally, he described the meeting with Minister Piantedosi as constructive, but anticipated that changes to the decree will be necessary to effectively address the needs of the region.
