He was caught during an alleged street drug deal and arrested by police. It happened in Naples, in the Porta Nolana area, where a 53-year-old man with a criminal record, including specific convictions, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession for the purpose of trafficking and resisting arrest.
The operation began yesterday morning, when officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, engaged in a territorial control operation, noticed the man in Vico Gabella della Farina.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the 53-year-old allegedly traded something to another individual in exchange for a banknote. The individual then quickly walked away, attracting the attention of the police, who intervened to stop the incident.
The officers then reached the man and, not without difficulty, managed to subdue him. During the search, they found six packages containing cocaine and €115 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations, deemed consistent with possible drug dealing. Following the investigation, the 53-year-old was arrested and handed over to the judicial authorities.
