Napoli are eyeing Gabriel Jesus as a potential attacker: the deal hinges on Lukaku's future.

Napoli is looking ahead and starting to make moves in the transfer market to strengthen their attack. In the last few hours, the name of Gabriel Jesus, an Arsenal striker who has been on the Neapolitan club's radar ahead of the new season, has emerged from Brazil.

According to "O Globo," president Aurelio De Laurentiis' club has begun initial exploratory discussions with the player's entourage to understand the Brazilian's willingness to move to Serie A and evaluate the potential prospects of the deal.

At the moment, however, there are no concrete negotiations with Arsenal. Napoli are simply gathering information on the player and the conditions needed to transform their mere interest into a full-blown move.

The main issue remains Romelu Lukaku's future. The Belgian striker is expected at the team's training camp, but he's reportedly looking for a change of scenery and a new experience away from the Azzurri. The club, however, is awaiting suitable offers before making a final decision.

Lukaku's situation represents a key turning point for Napoli's strategy: without selling the centre-forward, the club will be unlikely to free up financial and technical space to invest in a new attacking player.

Gabriel Jesus remains a highly attractive prospect. The Brazilian striker would bring international experience, technical quality, and the ability to play multiple roles in the attacking department, qualities considered valuable for enhancing the team's attacking options.
