Naples. Little Vincenzo's dream of swimming in a large pool has come true.

At the Scandone swimming pool in Naples, the Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Naples , Emanuela Ferrante , spoke at the charity event organized by the volunteer organization “Lo Sportello dei Sogni,” founded with the aim of promoting the realization of the “heart's desire” for patients suffering from oncological diseases.

This is how the dream of little Vincenzo , three years old, a very young cancer patient being treated by Dr. Abate 's team at the Santobono hospital, came true. Vincenzo, already an expert swimmer, had long wanted to be able to dive into a large swimming pool.

To fulfill little Vincenzo's wish of swimming in the Scandone pool, swimmers from the Delfino Flegrea club were present , who entered the water with him wearing Aladdin and the Genie of the Lamp costumes, the child's favorite characters.

Vincenzo entered the water in the arms of his mother, a former professional swimmer who introduced him to swimming. "He asked me many times to return to the pool," she told the regional RAI television cameras, " and after a year, returning to the water was emotional."

“Today we made the dream of little Vincenzo, who was suffering from a serious illness, come true, giving him and his family moments of carefree happiness,” declared Emanuela Ferrante, Councillor for Sport and Equal Opportunities.

And then he added: "It was truly a great emotion to see him smile. My heartfelt thanks go to the entire network that worked so Vincenzo could swim in a pool all to himself.

Without the collaboration of the municipal services, the swimmers of the Delfino Flegrea society and the association "Lo sportello dei sogni", the magic would not have taken shape.
