Sala Consilina, the Guardia di Finanza dog discovers 100 thousand euros hidden in a car's false bottom

Sala Consilina. Financial Police officers in Sala Consilina seized approximately €100 in banknotes hidden in a car traveling near the Sala Consilina A2 motorway junction.

The military discovered the money thanks to the nose of the dog Isafa of the canine service of the Finance Group of SALERNO who identified a false bottom created ad hoc under the central armrest of the car that can be opened using the air recirculation button. Most likely the same car could have already been used for the transport of narcotics.

The banknotes were divided into bundles of various denominations wrapped in transparent film. The driver of the car, a 28-year-old originally from the province of Vibo Valentia, was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Lagonegro for the crime of receiving stolen goods.
