Against the backdrop of the “ high energy prices ” and the increase in prices mainly due to the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine, all sectors of the economy have felt the effects of the price increases after the summer break.
With autumn just beginning, maximum attention is paid to energy saving, environmental impact and ecosystem protection. In light of these changes, organizing a sustainable wedding allows the bride and groom to enjoy that day without worrying about the effects on the planet. According to some research, in fact, wedding receptions have a large impact on the environment: from excess food to the carbon footprint of guests, it is estimated that a wedding can produce up to 20 kilos of plastic waste.
From these assumptions comes the idea of the first “Wedding Green” in Campania, which will be held next October 9, from 11 to 22, in Frasso Telesino (Benevento). The suggestive location chosen to illustrate to engaged couples the novelties of the eco-friendly wedding will be Villa Aristea, immersed in the hills of the Taburno Regional Park.
But what does the event so eagerly awaited by those who have chosen to get married, paying attention to the environment, consist of? A path will be set up to await the guests, with gazebos from each company in the sector (from wedding favors, to floral decorations, to dresses for the ceremony, to invitations, to the wedding banquet), where the future spouses will be able to receive "personalized" advice based on their needs for the big day; but also corners with tastings of products from the strictly green culinary tradition of Campania, a photography contest for couples who will get married, a helicopter from which the future spouses will land directly in the greenery of the structure and many other surprises.
The novelty is that every detail will be taken care of in the name of eco-sustainability, as the creator Imma Grimaldi explains: «For years now I have supported this project linked to my activity as a wedding planner. The values in which I believe push me to promote initiatives that are good for the environment while respecting the tradition, nationality and history of each people. The eco-sustainable wedding – she continues – is an important choice to safeguard our planet and is fully in line with the green trends of recent years. With a particular eye, in our case, to the entire organization of the wedding».
Slow flowers is therefore perfect for setting up the wedding in an eco-sustainable way, using flowers that respect the biological times of the earth; for the catering you can opt for slow food based on fair and sustainable “zero kilometer” production; no mass production or farming, no use of additives and pesticides. Respect for the environment also concerns the choice of invitations: recycled or special paper that contains plant seeds, or digital, unconventional but more ecological. For the wedding favors instead, the aim is to give guests aromatic plants or preserves. Or entirely artisanal productions, both in the production technique and in the enamel, using 100% water-based and ThermoEco enamels and energy from renewable sources.
All this by choosing a location surrounded by greenery that enhances nature and allows the use of candles instead of electricity, if evening lighting is planned.
The Giardino dell'Amore will welcome those who have chosen to become husband and wife: surrounded by gazebos, lounges and an elegant infinity pool in the setting of Villa Aristea. «The entrée will be served right there – explains the manager of the facility, Rocco Capasso – a triumph of the senses, a combination of shapes, colors and flavors that make our cuisine the best of Neapolitan and Mediterranean tradition in full respect of the products of the earth. As our culinary proposals show, including the Just Married Menu and the Assaggi d'Autore».
The event will also be attended by autistic children supported by the association “Noi Può APS” Onlus, of which Grimaldi is vice-president.
