Illegal landfill discovered in Lago Patria

Environment and illegal waste disposal are the two themes at the center of the service carried out by the Carabinieri of the Giugliano company, together with those of the Forestry station of Pozzuoli.

Most of the checks were planned in the restricted areas of Lago Patria, Foce Volturno, and Costa di Licola. And precisely in the hamlet of Lago Patria, in a portion of the site of community interest, the military discovered an illegal landfill, built in a space adjacent to the home of a 57-year-old.

The man, in addition to being the "manager" of a pile of various types of waste, ran a mechanical workshop. This too was illegal and seized. Along Via San Francesco in Patria, the owner of a dealership was reported, behind which the washing of vehicles for sale was in full swing.

All without authorizations and with the discharge of waste water directly into the public sewers. In the same space, the storage of special waste was also detected: spare parts, body parts and used oils. And again, the carabinieri discovered that some of the rooms of the car showroom had been built without authorization. The entire area was seized.

Again. Also reported was the manager of a second garage where paint scraps, solvents and damaged car parts were found. All without any register and in violation of the regulations on the disposal and storage of special waste.
