15 buses were caught inside the prohibited area by the ordinance without the required authorization and 5 drivers were fined


Over the past weekend, the Naples Local Police have set up several checkpoints for tourist buses.
Operation within the scope of checks for the correct application of the Ordinance which provided for the ban on circulation in the Historic Center for tourist buses on holidays and pre-holidays until 8/1/2023 and the establishment of reserved parking areas and spaces for stopping.
The checkpoints located in Piazza Sannazzaro, Piazza Bovio, Piazza Carlo III, Via Duomo and Via Marina allowed the control of 68 tourist buses and the detection and sanctioning of 20 irregularities.
15 buses were caught inside the prohibited area by the ordinance without the required authorization and 5 drivers were fined for failure to respect rest periods with the payment of a fine of 600 euros in addition to the withdrawal of their driving license.
