Campi Flegrei, Fico, and Pecoraro meet with displaced residents to discuss interventions on the Acer buildings.

On Monday afternoon, a meeting was held at Palazzo Santa Lucia, attended by the President of the Campania Region, Roberto Fico, the Councilor for Housing Policies, Claudia Pecoraro, and the Mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, along with a representative of displaced residents of the Campi Flegrei.

The meeting was convened to discuss the intervention plan for the Acer buildings, in light of the habitability assessments and the emergency interventions initiated in the area following the earthquake of July 31st. During the meeting, the interventions implemented in recent weeks to support the population were summarized and the operational priorities for the area were defined.

The Region reported that it is in close contact with the central government to define the regulatory and financial framework for the next decree, which will structure and ensure the long-term sustainability of the measures aimed at the Phlegraean Fields.

Fico and Pecoraro emphasized the importance of listening to the local community's concerns and engaging with local authorities, especially in light of the measures to be finalized in the coming weeks and the planning of interventions.

It was also noted that, for nearly two months, many residents have been living away from their homes: the primary objective remains to restore safety and dignity to the families affected, through rapid reconstruction and full safety measures. Constant dialogue will be maintained with residents, central and local governments to ensure effective solutions and the right to housing.
