Seismic swarm at dawn in Campi Flegrei, also felt in Naples

An earthquake swarm occurred at dawn today in the Campi Flegrei area starting at 4:37 am.

The Vesuvius Observatory, the Naples branch of the INGV, recorded four earthquakes; the most significant event, with a magnitude of 2.7, occurred at 4:5.03 a.m. with its epicenter in Via Antiniana, in the municipality of Pozzuoli, at a depth of 1,8 km.

The shock was felt by the population in the Phlegraean municipalities and in the neighborhoods of the western area of ​​Naples, in particular Bagnoli and Fuorigrotta. The first shock occurred at 4,37 with a magnitude of 1.02. The fourth then at 5,05 with a magnitude of 1.9

At the moment there are no reports of damage to people or things. The civil protection of Pozzuoli is carrying out all the checks and the mayor asks citizens to report any problems.
