"There's no bullfight over the name of Napoli's next coach." President Aurelio De Laurentiis said this morning, speaking from inside the Maradona Stadium to Rai1's Uno Mattina program. He was joined in the studio by Serena Autieri , and in the studio by Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli director Valter De Maggio. It was in response to a question from De Maggio about a possible Spalletti-Mancini swap for the Napoli and Italian national team positions that De Laurentiis explained:
“The journalists’ bullfight begins but we must have the ability to wait, the party is still going on and I am not capable of surprising.
We have the whole month of June, now there are 20 nominations and yesterday I took notes, I coached myself”. A way of saying let us work. Then the president wanted to thank Stephen DeMartino for hosting the evening show of the Scudetto celebration and finally answered a question from the host Massimiliano Ossini, Neapolitan by birth but a Juventus fan, spoke about the stadium.
“The municipalities do not have funds for maintenance. A law needs to be approved to hand over the stadiums for 99 years to the football clubs that intend to manage them, but it has to go over the heads of the superintendencies that impose impossible vetoes.
Football has also become a show and it must be done in safe places, away with those uncomfortable plastic seats and yes to comfortable armchairs. A stadium to be experienced with three hours before but also three hours after the match".
Serena Autieri wanted to reiterate that “Naples is experiencing a moment of world leadership.
Everyone loves Naples and I am sure that everyone rejoiced with us. With the victory of the championship, a cycle has closed and another one opens with a rosy future”.
