PSG leaves Mbappé out of the squad and works on the transfer. Osimhen his replacement?

French champions Paris Saint-Germain have excluded Kylian Mbappé from the team's preseason tour of Japan, casting further doubt over his future. The Parisian club has not provided a reason for the France captain's absence from their 29-man squad, which also includes 16-year-old Ethan Mbappé , his younger brother, and the club's other superstar, Brazilian Neymar.

Mbappé took part in the club's preseason training and played the final 30 minutes of the friendly against Le Havre , scoring a goal. In May, the striker declared that he would not extend his contract with PSG, which expires next year, but indicated that he wanted to stay at the club for one final season: "I have one more year left on my contract and I will respect my contract."

This would allow him to become a free agent next summer and negotiate his salary directly with his new team, with Real Madrid in pole position. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reacted to his star player's comments by explaining that Mbappé "must sign a new contract" because "we can't let the best player in the world leave for free. It's impossible."

Mbappé 's possible departure naturally risks sparking a veritable waltz of strikers among top international clubs. With a year left on his contract, PSG will attempt to sell the French star to the highest bidder to limit the financial damage and will then search for a new striker. Among the names on Luis Enrique's list is Victor Osimhen , with De Laurentiis , however, not willing to compromise on his price.
