The search at sea for the 29-year-old chef from Salerno Manuel Centomani, who has been missing since yesterday afternoon on the Amalfi Coast, has not yet yielded any results.

The Port Authority and firefighters are combing the length and breadth of the stretch between the port of Cetara and the beach of Erchie, in the municipality of Maiori, in the hope of recovering the body of the young man. More than 24 hours after the accident, in fact, the hopes of finding him alive are practically zero.
The young man, a cook in a facility in Salerno, was on a boat with two friends, a 33-year-old Eastern European and a 19-year-old Moroccan boy who tested positive for soft drug use when, probably due to a sudden turn, he ended up in the water. He was subsequently hit by the propeller of the boat that had performed an incorrect maneuver.
The research activity is coordinated by the Port Authority of Salerno, led by commander Attilio Maria Daconto. Also at sea are the firefighters who are flying over the area with a helicopter with divers on board.
Divers from the Naples regional fire brigade are also taking part in the search with the support of the Rov robot, which can be used to search the seabed in depth, which in the area where the tragedy occurred reaches up to 50 metres.
At the Manfredi pier of the port of Salerno, a station has also been set up to replace diving materials. The task force has not yet produced any results, but the search continues.
