Naples, agreement for Piazza del Plebiscito, Minister Piantedosi arrives

Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi will be at the Prefecture in Naples on Thursday, August 3, at 4:00 p.m. to attend the signing of the Agreement for the enhancement, redevelopment, and unified management of the Piazza del Plebiscito Complex in Naples and its underground spaces.

An agreement by the Central Director of Religious Affairs and for the administration of the Religious Buildings Fund of the Department of Civil Liberties and Immigration, Prefect Fabrizio Gallo, the Prefect of Naples, Claudio Palomba, the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, the General Director of the State Property Agency, Alessandra dal Verme and the General Director of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Municipality of Naples, Luigi La Rocca.

The initiative – launched thanks to the synergy between all the institutional actors involved – intends to promote the unitary management of the activities connected to the redevelopment of Piazza del Plebiscito, the colonnade, the underground spaces and the premises of the Fondo Edifici di Culto, carrying out maintenance and restoration interventions on the colonnade and the buildings behind it as well as diffused lighting, in order to enhance the entire square and ensure its full public use.
