Incredible, a thief enters Errico Porzio's pizzeria in Rome and falls asleep: reported

"It's not an April Fool's Day. Al Solito Porzio headquarters in Rome: he breaks in at night, enters, gets drunk, falls asleep and is arrested. I don't know whether to laugh or cry."

With this post on Facebook, the well-known Neapolitan pizza entrepreneur Errico Porzio denounced what happened the night between Sunday and Monday in one of his pizzerias in Rome.

Yesterday morning, when “al Solito Porzio” reopened on Via Tuscolana, the owners discovered a drunk man sleeping on the premises. The individual, a homeless man from the Central African Republic, had entered the restaurant after closing time by breaking a glass panic door.

Despite his intrusion, he did not steal anything from the premises, but simply drank excessively, ending up falling asleep. The police arrived on the scene and reported the 30-year-old man for damage, since he had forced entry to the premises using an iron pole to break a window.

The incident was then reported on social media by Porzio himself , and naturally, the irony of Neapolitans in commenting on the incident was not long in coming.

“He found it closed, and since the pizza there is so good, he must have been disappointed.” Or: “For Enrico's pizza, you'll do anything. Poor guy, he didn't make it in time for opening and couldn't resist. He should be forgiven.”

And again : “It's not always easy to find a place to eat, err ...
