Nanni Loy scam, not Camorra: Bosti's son-in-law sent packages of pasta instead of watches

Naples. More than the Camorra, this scam uncovered by the Naples Anti-Mafia Department, perpetrated by the Bosti family against an unsuspecting Indian jewel dealer, seems like a remake of the famous 2.0s film "Package, Double Package, and Counterpackage."

Only this time it is not fiction but pure reality and the protagonist is Luca Esposito, son-in-law of the boss Patrizio Bosti. Esposito, in fact, has carried out a 300 thousand euro scam to the detriment of an Indian entrepreneur who trades in precious metals.

The episode dates back to early 2019: the entrepreneur, interested in purchasing five luxury watches, contacted Esposito via social networks. The two agreed on the price and the Indian sent a wire transfer of over 330 thousand euros.

However, instead of luxury watches, the entrepreneur received packages of pasta. The investigations found that the money from the transfer was diverted to accounts of front companies linked to Esposito.

Only a small part of the sum, about a third, was then returned to the Indian entrepreneur. Esposito, not satisfied, also threatened one of his collaborators who had discovered the scam.

Patrizio Bosti's son-in-law also threatened the Indian's collaborator

The collaborator went to Esposito's house to verify the authenticity of the watches, but Esposito tried to intimidate him. For this reason, both Esposito and his collaborator were reported in Como for fraud.

The affair emerged as part of a joint operation that led to the issuing of new precautionary measures and charges against Patrizio Bosti , his children Ettore and Flora, and his son-in-law Luca Esposito.

The Esposito scam is just one of many episodes contested by the Bosti clan, which over the years has accumulated huge profits through illicit activities.
