Behind the scenes at the Teatro Serra in Naples, love in the time of prejudice
At the Teatro Serra in Naples, the new production "Dietro tutta" explores love and prejudice in a satirical play. The comedy, written and directed by Mauro Palumbo, stars Pietro Tammaro, Sara Guardascione, and Mario Cangiano. The set design is by Cristina Zanoboni. Performances will take place from February 7th to 9th and on February 15th and 16th at Via Diocleziano 316.
““Behind All” tells a story of love and discord, set in a quiet Alpine town. The story focuses on Roberto, a man rooted in local traditions, his wife Giorgia of Roman origins and Luigi, a lover of southern extraction. The narrative sees a series of misunderstandings and paradoxical situations evolve that offer a glimpse into the themes of racism and social tensions. #
With a noir tone, the show uses its fast pace to highlight the obsessions and behavioral patterns of the Italian province. Through the husband's attempts to exclude the southern influence of his rival, the futility of such gestures emerges in today's reality, underlining how multiculturalism is intrinsic to our society. The author emphasizes the importance of the message brought by the comedy, calling it "necessary today", as it lightly addresses contradictions and the essential multiculturalism of our era. With incisive dialogues and lively characters, "Dietro tutta" brings the theme of unity in diversity back to the center.
