Naples – “My client has always maintained that he was reacting to an attack ,” declares lawyer Luca Raviele , defender of the minor accused of the murder of Santo Romano , the 19-year-old killed on the night between 1 and 2 November 2024 in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio.

According to the accused, he was the one who suffered the first attack . "A stone was thrown at him, he was confronted by Santo Romano and his friends, who slapped him. Then one of them pulled out a knife ," the lawyer explains. "At that point, frightened, my client pulled out his gun and fired, without realizing he had fatally wounded Romano."

Attorney Raviele emphasizes that the defendant's reconstruction is supported by the documents and some testimonies . Furthermore, he reiterates that the young man is a minor and has psychiatric problems.

When the trial resumes, scheduled for April 29 , the defense attorney will evaluate the defense strategy. "We will have to consider whether there are grounds for presumed self-defense," Raviele concludes. "His reaction was dictated by fear and the desire to defend himself . "
