The young man lost his life due to a serious chest wound, caused by a gunshot while he was with a group of friends.
The trial is taking place at the Juvenile Court of Naples and involves a 17-year-old defendant , present in court along with the victim's family. Judge Umberto Lucarelli granted the request for a summary trial and reserved his decision on the psychiatric evaluation requested by the defendant's defense.
At the end of the hearing, Marco De Scisciolo , the Romano family's attorney, stated: "The defendant's defense, represented by Luca Raviele, has submitted a request for a psychiatric evaluation. It has been rejected for now, but the judge will decide whether to grant it during the summary trial." The verdict is expected on April 29.
