Fiom strike at Stellantis in Pomigliano: 8 hours of stoppage tomorrow

Pomigliano – Arms crossed tomorrow, April 24, at the Stellantis plant in Pomigliano d'Arco. The Fiom-Cgil union has called an eight-hour strike across all shifts, with pickets at the gates of the GB Vico factory, to protest the company's inaction on the renewal of the pay section of the specific contract.

The news was announced by Mauro Cristiani, general secretary of Fiom Napoli, and Mario Di Costanzo, head of the automotive sector of Fiom Napoli.

" Stellantis continues to ignore our requests for wage increases, while inflation erodes workers' purchasing power ," unionists denounce. Fiom , which never signed the company-wide agreement deemed penalizing, considers the company's attitude "unacceptable."

“Faced with a crisis that is affecting wages, a serious discussion is needed to ensure increases that compensate for the losses ,” add Cristiani and Di Costanzo.

The mobilization, decided by the Fiom RSA (Fiorm Union) together with local and national bodies, is a strong signal: workers are ready to make their voices heard. "Tomorrow will only be the beginning, unless Stellantis opens a constructive dialogue ," concludes the Fiom, determined to defend the rights of metalworkers.
