Avellino – Violent attack on atripalda, where a 42-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri for resisting arrest, injuring a public official and possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The military of the local station stopped him yesterday morning for a routine check on the street, but the 42-year-old - already known to the police - reacted violently, unleashing moments of great tension.
When asked for his documents, the man tried to escape the control by fleeing. After a short chase, he was caught by the carabinieri, against whom he put up a furious resistance, hitting them with slaps and punches.
The soldiers managed to immobilize him with difficulty, but he suffered injuries that required medical treatment at the “Moscati” hospital in Avellino.
Once calm was restored, the man was subjected to a personal and home search. On him, hidden in his underwear, the carabinieri found approximately 49 grams of cocaine, divided into a plastic bag.
The arrested person was taken to the barracks in safe conditions and then transferred to the Bellizzi Irpino prison, by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Avellino. He is awaiting the hearing to validate the arrest.
