Casavatore – Carabinieri, State Police and Local Police at the polling stations to verify compliance with the rules, the provincial commander of Naples Biagio Storniolo and Lieutenant Colonel Paolo Leoncini leading the Carabinieri Group of Castello di Cisterna.
A real monitoring and control activity was developed by the extraordinary commissioner Giovanni Lucchese who demanded and made it a fixed point that the Camorra and the polluted vote in Casavatore will not find space in these elections. Meanwhile, in via Campanariello and in via Palizzi near the institutes and outside the electoral office, the presence of groups with subjects linked to the deceased boss Ciro Cortese, some former special surveillance and even, inside a car wash near the Romeo institute, the presence of several criminals was noted.
There was no shortage of the usual errand boys who accompany their voter when necessary like a sort of taxi to their home. The schools most “beaten” by the military are those in the historic center where the clan's stronghold is located.
Outside these schools, the results of those identified by the Carabinieri are still missing. In short, the first round of the elections, awaiting the results of the count, has once again taken place with the inevitable shadow of the possible tainted vote. The counter-operation of the vice prefect Lucchese, is apparently bearing fruit, creating no small difficulties for the "buyers" of votes.
