Napoli – A shooting in the heart of Barra triggered the intervention of the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Nucleus late yesterday evening. Around 23:30 pm, in Corso Sirena, at least two gunshots hit the outside window of a funeral transport agency, shattering the glass and sparking panic among residents.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but fear is still palpable in the neighborhood.
The dynamics of what happened
According to initial reconstructions, the shots may have come from a moving vehicle, although investigations are still ongoing to establish with certainty what happened.
Some residents reported hearing pops similar to fireworks, before realizing the severity of the situation.
The military personnel of the Radiomobile Unit, supported by their colleagues from the Station police of Barra, they heard the owner of the funeral agency who reported having never received threats or requests extortionate.
At the moment, no leads have been ruled out: from a sudden fight between rival groups, to an intimidating warning linked to the funeral agency's activity.
