Betrayed by his football faith. A 27-year-old Umbrian, resident in Lombardy and already known to the police, was arrested in Riccione by the Carabinieri on charges of aggravated robbery against four young tourists. He was not only caught by his clumsy escape along Viale Ceccarini, but above all by the Napoli jersey he was wearing during the robbery, which the victims immediately recognized and described in detail.
The robbery took place on the free beach in front of Piazzale Roma, in the heart of the Romagna city. According to the reconstruction of the military, the 27-year-old and some accomplices - still in the process of being identified - approached the boys with an initially joking attitude, only to then transform everything into a real aggression. The victims, surrounded and threatened, were searched and robbed of cash, a power bank and two necklaces, one of which was violently torn from the neck.
The arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the robbery was made possible by the speed of the police and the extremely precise description provided by the young men who were attacked: Napoli scudetto shirt, recognizable physique, obvious tattoos. The man was stopped a few minutes later while he was trying to disappear among the tourists.
All the stolen goods were recovered and returned, while the 27-year-old is now locked up in the prison of Rimini awaiting the validation hearing. The investigators are closing in on the rest of the group: they are young people of foreign origin, also involved in the flash robbery on the coast. A prank that ended badly, with the passion for Naples that, this time, played against.
