Bramosia, the Neapolitan podcast that explores the precariousness of young people.

For many, September signifies a new beginning. For others, especially young people, it's just another month to navigate with uncertainty. According to the latest ISTAT data (June 2025), the youth unemployment rate in Italy is 20,1%. In Campania, the rate is well above the national average, confirming Southern Italy as the epicenter of job insecurity.

“Bramosia” is born

It's against this backdrop that Bramosia, a podcast created by a group of Neapolitans under 25, comes to life. The project focuses on youthful disorientation related to work, with a focus on the journey rather than the finish line.

Each episode features the stories of young people grappling with the fragilities of the contemporary job market and careers often marked by instability. The podcast also seeks to capture opportunities for growth and new forms of expression.

A first season dedicated to Naples

The first season is entirely dedicated to the Campania capital and gives voice to young entrepreneurs, artists, and workers who have transformed uncertainty into opportunity. Guests include:

Simone Cervone (SIO), emerging singer who became popular on TikTok;

Giusy Pontillo and Francesco Cantone, creators of the Vita da Fuorisede project;

Salvatore Trinchella and Antonio Strazzullo, founders of the communications agency Did Yu Lab;

Antonio Ventura, creator of the 081 Project brand, who transformed Neapolitan style into a stylistic anthem.

Coffee as a symbolic language

From the launch reel, published on the @bramosiapodcast social media profiles, the project chose a symbolic language: coffee. In Naples, it's not just a drink, but a daily ritual, a vital boost. "The sound of the spoon on the cup is a call to arms: for us, it evokes longing, a desire to do," explain the founders.

In this metaphor, Bramosia becomes an imaginary café: a place that awakens desires, stimulates perspectives, and invites us to restart possibilities.

The "Curriculum Vitae: What a Life It Is" campaign

In August, the project launched an awareness campaign on youth unemployment, entitled “Curriculum Vitae: What a Life Is,” accompanied by the international slogan “Hire me to unlock my full potential.”

The initiative suggests that it is not just the curriculum that remains unanswered, but life itself that remains suspended in uncertainty.

Among the most impactful images:

a sign that read “Zero budget for graphics, I’m doing an unpaid internship” thrown in the garbage;

CVs stacked in transparent boxes, placed in symbolic urban spaces;

provocative slogans like “Not everyone goes back to work in September.”

The photographs, taken by photographer Riccardo Della Rocca and partly generated with the help of artificial intelligence, paint a portrait of a generation that is suspended, rather than on the rise: stuck in a state of stalemate.

A social denunciation

Through this campaign, Bramosia aims to expose the hypocrisy of employment rhetoric. It highlights how young people, to enter the job market, are often forced to accept unpaid internships, fixed-term contracts with no prospects, and career paths far removed from their own training.

A collective listening space

The podcast is created and hosted by Ginevra Infascelli and Guido Mezzacapo, with the collaboration of Dario De Riu, Roberta Infascelli, and Francesco Pipolo.

Beyond recounting the stalemate, Bramosia aims to encourage young people to identify with these experiences and find the strength to respond. It doesn't celebrate individual successes, but restores dignity to daily toil, offering an alternative narrative to traditional models of success.

Restarting as an emergency

In an Italy that in September flaunts the rhetoric of "restarting," Bramosia reminds us that restarting is not a slogan, but an urgent necessity.
